Construction Quality Control Services
Ensuring the proper quality controls are in place is essential to a project’s success. Assessing critical details during preconstruction results in fewer construction-phase changes or surprises, reduced construction time, and cost savings. Our team will work closely with the various stakeholders involved, ensuring that your project will be ready to go.
Our services include:
- Field evaluation of construction activities for earth works including engineered fill and site servicing, sub-grade preparation and proofroll assessment for roadway construction, etc.
- In place compaction and laboratory testing of soil and aggregate including standard and modified Proctor, sieve, hydrometer, Atterberg limits, hydraulic conductivity, moisture contents, etc.
- Field testing of asphalt including compaction and temperature during paving, and associated laboratory testing for asphalt cement content, gradation, Marshall and SuperPave compliance testing
- Field and laboratory testing of fresh and cured concrete including slump, air, temperature, unconfined compressive strength, rapid chlorine permeability testing [RCPT], as well as temperature monitoring during curing for thicker foundations
- Structural Steel and Building Science Evaluations (more detail on separate Building Science page)
- Evaluation of founding soils and reinforcing steel for comparison to project specifications during foundation construction
- Field evaluation of construction activities for earth works, engineered fill, sub-grade preparation, roadway construction, site servicing, slope stabilization, etc.
- In place compaction testing of soil and asphalt
- Field and laboratory testing of soils and concrete
- Structural Steel Evaluations
- Building Science Evaluations (water proofing, insulation, roofing, etc.)
- Various sanitary landfill projects, including laboratory hydraulic conductivity testing for the requisite clay liners
- Structure designs for municipal and airport pavement facilities, including quality control during construction. Heavy pavement designs to support heavy industrial coil carriers
